Sewage Cleanup Fort Lauderdale FL

There are certainly perils that come along with living in Fort Lauderdale. Hurricanes and tropical storms are common in the region, and homes and businesses are often located in low-lying areas. Flooding is going to be a imminent threat, and time is of the essence if you are trying to control water damage. Any time you experience flood damage due to a storm or for any other reason, United Restoration is standing at the ready to respond. We understand that every minute counts if your property is plagued by flooding, and our business model has been designed to address the inherent urgency that surrounds a Fort Lauderdale water damage incident. Plus, in emergency situations, we strive to respond to flood damage calls in 10 minutes (and no, that is not a misprint).

Mold Remediation in Fort Lauderdale

Mold in your property can become a growing problem that requires immediate attention. If you have a sustained and untreated water damage problem, it’s likely to lead to a mold and mildew problem. This is simply because mold growth indoors is usually linked to a moist, damp environment. Water damage and mold in your home can occur as a result of flooding, leaky roofs, indoor plumbing problems, poor building maintenance, and much more. Mold begins growing within 24 hours of moisture intrusion and the only way to remove it from your property is by proper mold remediation.

A single episode of flood damage can cause mold and mildew to grow inside the walls and underlying foundation and building structure. A period of high humidity can result in a sudden and widespread mold problem. Under the right “nurturing” conditions, mold and mildew can become a problem overnight. As much as possible, keep your home dry and cool to prevent mold from growing and spreading, and give us a call.

Fort Lauderdale Sewage Damage Cleanup & Removal

Out of all of the different types of restoration claims, sewage damage is often the most dangerous and hardest to clean up. Sewage damage can contain high amounts of harmful bacteria and there are serious health risks associated with it. We can provide you with sewage cleanup and sewage removal to keep you and your loved ones safe. Whatever you do, do not attempt to clean up a mess from broken pipes that are connected to a sewage line. Sewage, which is also known as black water, has the potential to cause extreme damage. Coming in contact with fecal matter or raw sewage could cause disease, destroy your valuables, and cause severe damage to your property. It’s critical that only trained professionals with the right equipment should handle sewage removal.

More About Fort Lauderdale FL

The first United States stockade named Fort Lauderdale was built in 1838, and subsequently was a site of fighting during the Second Seminole War. The fort was abandoned in 1842, after the end of the war, and the area remained virtually unpopulated until the 1890s. It was not until Frank Stranahan arrived in the area in 1893 to operate a ferry across the New River, and the Florida East Coast Railroad’s completion of a route through the area in 1896, that any organized development began. The city was incorporated in 1911.

Today, Fort Lauderdale is home to attractions such as the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Museum of Discovery and Science, and the Fort Lauderdale Beach Park.
