Working Directly With Your Insurance Company

United Restoration will provide all necessary documentation, from estimations, itemized expenses, legal documentation, and photographic evidence of water damage, directly to your insurance company. A dedicated account manager works with our customers from initial claim to insurance payment.

After your claim is processed by your insurance company, an insurance company adjustment agent reviews our documentation before approving the payout. As a United Restoration customer, your account manager will work directly with this agent, keeping you informed of the progress and status of your claim.

1. Work Authorization

Before we can begin placing machines, equipment, and containment in the property to mitigate the the property owner to perform our services on the property, as well as authorization to communicate with your insurance company for purposes of having payment directed to us if you are making an insurance claim.

2. Damage Assessment

Once the property owner has signed our work authorization, we will begin by taking photographs of the property, and employing a range of tests to assess the source of the damage. Once our assessment is complete, we will develop a plan of action to mitigate further damage. This includes assessing any safety hazards and mitigating those risks, as well as isolating damaged areas with containment.

3. Mitigation

After we’ve assessed the damage, we will begin mitigating and restoring the property as quickly as possible to avoid further damage. This may include removing drywall and affected flooring, when necessary, and setting up state-of-the-art restoration equipment to remediate the property. We will be visiting the property regularly to record moisture levels, perform moisture mapping, and ensure that the the restoration process is going according to plan.

4. Billing

Because of the emergency nature of the services, at this time we are unable to provide you with a detailed, written estimate of the services to be performed. Rest assured, we use Xactimate - the industry standard software - to produce estimates for water mitigation, mold remediation, and fire/smoke damage restoration.
